Feelings Are Repetitive

Depression. I feel the only thing to blame that on is the cycle of feelings each of us experiences everyday. 
My theory on how this happens-

1) feel happy
2) reason for happiness becomes the norm and level of happiness decreases
3) apathetic state
4) another reason to be happy
5) this reason won't seem as strong due to the 'little' amount of contrast from previous emotional state

If this keeps happening and an individual does not feel any contrast from being sad, it leads to the depression cycle. Although, I may feel sad sometimes, I honestly don't care about it. Just let whatever happens happen and live life according to how you want to live it. Screw emotions, they never last.
